Urban
Planning is the discipline and practice of designing, regulating, and
organizing urban spaces to create sustainable, efficient, and vibrant
communities. It integrates social, environmental, economic, and technical
considerations to enhance the quality of life while balancing growth,
innovation, and tradition. The scope of urban planning spans many areas and
subfields including land use, infrastructure, housing, transportation, and
public amenities, making it a critical factor in the development of cities,
towns, and communities worldwide.
